The tiniest pickup MJS has made so far. This is a 1/4” high Hi-Energy Single Coil meant for only Electric Guitar strings. Used when folks want their E & A base line string signal to go through an octave shifter into a separate amp. Made with F4B board to allow such a thin structure – (approx: 1.1” L X 0.56” W X 0.25” H) @ 4.0K to 4.5K ohms and has plenty of signal. [We can add Veneer topper on request – it will add approx. .040” to height].
NOTE: To be affixed with Double Sided Tape or Instrument Putty on Contour Tops – It is a very delicate pickup and care must be used when handling.
Hey Folks! Got the 2-String Strat pickup installed and it fits well! I have string height spacing at about 5/64″ with low E fretted on the last fret. I think you mentioned between 1/16” to 3/32” is ideal. I got lucky using a small precut square of scrapbook mounting foam under the A string which compensated perfectly for fretboard radius. So both strings are 5/64″. Sounds great, super clear, and output is very hot.
