Recording Bass Replica
Tim couldn’t find a replacement Bridge pickup for his 1970/71 Sakai/Kawai Japanese Copy of a Gibson Recording Bass. MJS Copper Strat Set
Mark is starting a Stratocaster Baritone conversion modding in a “Penny Copper” finish. So we made Custom Copper Covers to house his MJS Strat Set to match with the design and pickguard. Can’t wait to see it all done!!
Jazzmaster Gold Foil
Michael was looking for the authentic Gold Foil tonal qualities as well as the Gold Foil aesthetic. MJS Hum II wound to 8.6K with High Energy Magnets. Michael says: Sounds great! Rebuilds of Vintage Pups are Always Fun!
Michael’s ‘60’s Hoyer Solist was equipped with this unique “Vintage Roger” pickup but he found the Single Coil too noisy and wanted a clean warmer PAF like hum-cancelling Jazz tone that he could roll off. So we converted the pickup to an Alnico 2 Humbucker while still using the existing Roger housing – Turned out great!
